Seth Godin inspired me to write shit that no one wants to read.
When you are ready to move out of your comfort zone, and you are scared to death, what do you do next?
I’ve been reading stuff by Seth Godin for about a decade.
He thinks the way that I think that I would like to think…
… I think!
Wouldn’t it be nice to do something that you’re really passionate about — enjoy the process, not worrying about the destination?
Well, I would!
Apart from the fear of failure, and the fear of success, and the fear of what people will think, and the fear of letting people down, there is something else.
Who will feed the kids while I’m being passionate about the shit that I’m passionate about that brings no income in?
I know, I know, I know…that’s a cop out.
But, I’m just saying.
I love Seth Godin. I even loved Squidoo.
And now I’m in a situation that I don’t have to feed my children anymore. (I didn’t kill them, either)
Now I’m sober 10 years and in a steady relationship and don’t need any more friends, I’m going to attempt the tightrope of self-expression-for-the-greater-good trick.
My feat is to formulate a guild of passionate, caring people whose purpose is to help other individuals overcome addictions.
There, I’ve said it out loud.
It is my belief that due to successive generations of Industrial Age Survival parenting and education, Military-Industrial economics, and Church-run Racial Cleansing, that we are a cohort of addicted, Industry led cattle.
The escape I have planned for you all if you will come along is self-knowledge and spiritual enlightenment. (and Kale Smoothies)
